The detail of the picture shows the torn and distorted canvas from impact damage. The tear was aligned and patched and the canvas was brought back to its original flat plane. The repair was barely discernable after the losses were filled, and the missing color was compensated. A layer of dirt was removed from the surface to enhance the original color of the composition.
